เป็นเกมส์แนววางแผนแบบเรียลไทม์ ที่ให้ผู้เล่นได้ปกครองประเทศต่างๆ ของโลกในช่วงปี 1936 ที่ประเทศต่างๆ นั้นได้อยู่ในระหว่างการเปลี่ยนแปลงครั้งยิ่งใหญ่หลังจากผ่านสงครามโลกครั้งที 1 มาไม่นานมากนัก และผู้เล่นคือผู้ที่จะกำหนดซะตาของโลกใบนี้
สิ่งที่ทำให้เกมนี้น่าเล่น
สิ่งที่เป็นจุดเด่นทำให้ตัวเกมแตกต่างจาก Total War Shogun 2 หรือเกมอื่นๆ ก็คือ ตัวเกมเน้นในการวางแผน และการใช้สมองของผู้เล่นในการวิเคราะห์มากกว่าเกมไหนๆ เกมนี้ไม่ได้สร้างเพียงแค่ Unit แล้วออกไปรบกับชาวบ้าน แต่ผู้เล่นจะต้องผลิตอาวุธ ผลิตกองกำลังทหาร และปรับแต่งอาวุธต่างๆ ด้วยตนเองทั้งหมด สเตตัสทุกหน่วยในเกมสามารถตัดสินการสู้รบของสงครามได้เลยทันที
